The Spanish Language Program was introduced by Noreen Peredo, a past pupil of the Convent of Mercy, Moate. Her work and travels have immersed her in Latin culture from Spain to Central and South America and The United States, where she taught Spanish exclusively for eleven years.
In 2006 MCS Spanish Department welcomed Grainne O' Kennedy. Grainne previously directed the Spanish department at Presentation Secondary School, Warrenmount, Dublin.
