Golf conitnues to become one of the most popular sports in Moate Community school. We have over 60 players ranging from handicaps 48 to scratch. We have access to Moate Golf club for all in house competitions which takes place mainly in the first and last term. Trials begin in September for representing the golf teams and we usually have representatives at all levels for both boys and girls.

As part of our golf programme we try to visit other golf courses in the area such as Esker Hills, Mount Temple and Glasson golf club. Also we have brought our students along to meet european tour players and recently did a Q&A with Shane Lowry.Last year our senior golf team got to the Leinster semi finals in Carton house and it is hoped over the coming years we might go to all the way and win this pretigious trophy someday.
