Basketball
Basketball is played at all levels in Moate Community School for boys and girls. We are fortunate to have one of the largest gymnasiums in the locality. This allows our students to avail of first class basketball facilities and coaches. Colette McEnroe our head basketball coach is another x-international sportsperson in the school and leads a brilliant team of coaches such as Louise Costello and Neassa Ni Chongnaille.

21 Caps for Ireland underage teams Colette is widely regarded as a very talented Basketball player and coach. Colette manages many teams in the school to great success and a real highlight was when her boys second year team reached the All Ireland play offs in 2010.

Louise Costello
Louise since joining the school has emerged herself in all types of sports but particularly basketball. She has spent countless hours in the gym going through plays and developing the skills of our students.She is also keen on marathons were she has competed in the Flora mini marathon and triathlons.

Neasa Ni Chonghaile
Neasa has a keen interest in Basketball,GAA, Volleyball and swimming but in the school it is her basketball skills she uses to manage the boys teams.
